Born in Rome in 1973. Between 1998 and 2002, she studied in Paris at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts Paris-Cergy, where she experimented various medias, deepening her interest in painting and drawing. Soon her research started to dialogue with psychology, anthropology, myth and religion. In 2002 she went back to Rome where she participated to numerous group shows. In 2008 she moved to Milan, where she exhibited her work in solo shows in 2011 in the gallery Uno+Uno and some home galleries as Da Vicino. Since 2015 she focused on her research.
Since her inaugural exhibition in 2015, Irene Crocco has created a community of followers around the artists Luca Andreoni, Alessandro Calabrese, Theo Drebbel, Elena Ricci and Guido Guidi. Initially interested in photography, it is now open to a whole wealth of contemporary visual arts, mainly Italian. The enigmatic name of the Viasaterna gallery is to be found in the work of Dino Buzzati.
Dès son exposition inaugurale en 2015 Irene Crocco a su créer une communauté de fidèles autour des artistes Luca Andreoni, Alessandro Calabrese, Theo Drebbel, Elena Ricci ou encore Guido Guidi. D’abord intéressée par la photographie, elle s’ouvre aujourd’hui à toute la richesse des arts visuels contemporains, principalement italiens. Le nom énigmatique de la galerie Viasaterna est à rechercher dans l’œuvre de Dino Buzzati.
