Avant d'imaginer comment recevoir, il a fallu se demander où recevait-on, puis se raconter une architecture à investir.
De ces contextes réels ou projetés, se mettent en espace et en ambiance les histoires et les scénarii d’usages.
Une fois arrivés dans cette vieille grange percheronne avec une idée des extérieurs et de la lumière naturelle, des percements et des points de vue se font désirer : en entrant, depuis la chambre, au pieds du poêle, à table ou assis là, dans un rayon de soleil.
Maintenant installés où et selon nos inclinations, le regard posé vers l'extérieur ou sur son voisin de tablée, il devient plus fluide d'imaginer la manière d'être reçu : une bibliothèque lourde de livres, les verres vides des longues discussions de la veille, le café chaud du matin que l'on sent avant de descendre, les portes qui s'ouvrent au passage des plateaux chargés, les coussins sur la terrasse... et puis tous ceux qui nous manquent.

Before imagining how to entertain, one has to envision where we welcome others and the space to be inhabited.
Then spatial and mood stories or user scenarios can be derived from real or projected contexts.
Once we’ve arrived in this old barn in the Perche region that evokes the outdoors with its natural light, we want to create openings and different points of view from the entrance, the bedroom, at the base of the wood-burning stove, at the table or sitting in a ray of sunshine.
Now settled in and depending on our inclinations while gazing outdoors or at the person next to us at the table, we can imagine more fluidly how we’ll be welcomed: a bookcase overflowing with books, empty glasses left from the previous evening’s long conversation, the scent of hot coffee before we come downstairs in the morning, doors opening for plates of inviting food arriving from the kitchen, cushions on the terrace … and then all the people we miss.
